Innovation, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving took center stage at the Techno NJR Institute of Technology campus during the recently concluded Internal Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026.

Held from September 14 to September 16, 2026, the three-day internal hackathon served as a vibrant launchpad for aspiring engineers and student innovators preparing for the nationwide Smart India Hackathon challenge.

3 Days of Limitless Ideas and Impactful Solutions

The hackathon brought together multidisciplinary student teams, dedicated faculty coordinators, and experienced mentors for an intensive cycle of ideation, rapid prototyping, and presentation.

Participating teams tackled complex real-world challenge statements, translating theoretical engineering concepts into viable tech-driven prototypes. Key highlights from the event included:

• Intense Ideation & Coding Sprints: Teams worked through exhaustive brainstorming and coding rounds, developing both software and hardware solutions tailored to practical industry and societal needs.

• Hands-on Mentorship: Industry experts and faculty members conducted regular review rounds at workstations, providing real-time feedback on system architecture, design feasibility, and code optimization.

• Evaluation & Pitching: The event culminated in project demonstrations where teams pitched their working solutions, system designs, and roadmaps to an evaluation panel.

Driving Student Entrepreneurship and Tech Leadership

Organized under the aegis of the institution’s innovation initiatives, the Internal SIH 2026 underscored the campus culture of learning beyond the classroom. By tackling unscripted, complex problems under tight deadlines, participants gained vital exposure to teamwork, project management, and rapid product development.
