Smart Drainage Blockage Detecting System : Clean India Healthy India

As there are many blocked and uncleaned open drains in the country which causes non-hygienic situations which lead to various health problems in humans. Due to waterlogged streets, there are many road accidents which lead to harm to men-life. Sometimes drains are not regularly cleaned by drain cleaners and there is no monitoring or reporting of this. This causes blockage and unhygienic drains leading to bad health. Our system checks for blockage by determining the level of water in the drain, it also determines the level of harmful gases (methane gas). If there is any abrupt increasing change in any of the parameters, the system directly connects to the municipality and informs about this along with the location where it has been placed through message. Also, the data collected is pushed to cloud for further analysis of the area to take any action.

Designing an automatic system for detecting exudates levels in diabetic retinopathy patients using image processing

Diabetic retinopathy is a disease in which the retinal image is affected due to diabetes. If it is not detected and diagnosed at the primary stage it may lead to permanent blindness . Hence, it is the most common reason of blindness all over the world so such a system is required which can detect such structure at an early stage so that it can be controlled with medicines. To check whether the person is suffering from DR or level of exudates we have employed structural image processing in which irregular structure in retinal image is identified using edge detection techniques through which these exudates will be displayed separately. Exudates can be identified as areas with hard white or yellowish colors and varying sizes, shapes, and locations near the leaking capillaries within the retina. Here we will use MATLAB &SIMULINK for designing the automatic systems.

DSP Processor-Based High-Security Image Authentication System

A real-time image captured has some inherent Additive white Gaussian noise produced in it due to various environmental effects such as fog, rain droplets, sand dunes, etc. This image is blurred due to environmental interference. This interference is removed by the equalizer. Equalizers are basically FIR Filters. FIR Filter is a Linear Time invariant system in which the response of the system is dependent upon the coefficients of the filter. This type of technique uses linear equalizers, but the drawback of this LTI system is that its coefficients are constant for all environmental conditions. What we want is that the value of the coefficients should change according to the atmospheric conditions. The solution to this problem is an adaptive equalizer; in this system, the filters adapt themselves according to the atmospheric conditions. In the following review paper, we are considering three environmental conditions i.e. rain, fog, sand dunes, accordingly the filter will adapt three different sets of coefficients for three different environmental conditions. These three different sets of coefficient are generated with the help of the Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm. In previous papers, the pixel values of the images with the help of MATLAB have been calculated but in this paper, we are using Discrete Cosine Transformation.. By taking Discrete Cosine Transformation of the image with the help of the Code Composer Studio tool which is compatible with TMS320C6416 we will find out the pixels values. The image is then passed through the adaptive filter to remove the distortion or the noise content through it. Then the image is reconstructed by the Inverse Discrete Cosine Transformation. Now the new image which is reconstructed is free of noise. In the following review paper, we are capturing.

Video processing based automation for saving renewable ENERGY (Electricity)

Digital image processing is the use of computer algorithms to perform image processing on digital images. As a subcategory or field of digital signal processing, digital image processing has many advantages over analog image processing. It allows a much wider range of algorithms to be applied to the input data and can avoid problems such as the build-up of noise and signal distortion during processing. Since images are defined over two dimensions (perhaps more) digital image processing may be modeled in the form of multidimensional systems.

Intruder Detection using DSK 6713 for Border security

Many applications can be envisioned for a system that is able to detect human activity in some areas. Probably the most obvious application is the detection of intruders in a secure region. It is often the case that a system capable of detecting pedestrians is desired. Acoustic and seismic sensors are capable of measuring a pedestrian activity and are often employed for this task for a number of reasons. In the case that the system should alarm only when a pedestrian is present, processing of the acoustic and seismic signals should make it possible for the system to discriminate footsteps from other acoustic and seismic sources such as highways, railroads, operating machinery, and trees and bushes swaying in the wind. So adaptive filters are used to remove such noise and detect intruders. So we have designed a system that involves signal processing using DSK 6713 DSP processor to make the task easier and more error-free for the operator.
